It brings me up, makes me smile
One of my favourite independent electronic musicians… Dominic Giam aka Ketsa has a new album coming out soon and I was privileged to get a preview copy from my friend Warren over at Invisible Agent… in short: it is an utterly delightful expression of the cosmopolitan plurality of now… and I love it. I am […]
Eomac – Mnk Ep – reviewed by Noise
The Mnk EP is his first release for Irish collective Invisible Agent. It’s a dark and trippy affair, drawing on halfstep and breakbeat rhythms throughout. Trudging along, it channels Zomby-esque psychedelia and dark electro influenced electronica from the genres heyday at the turn of the century.

Danseizure’s LP “This is Danseizure” – detailed review by Dovetail (Katie Weed)
At once energetic, ambient, and brimming with both field recordings and original sounds, the appeal of Danseizure’s LP “This is Danseizure” lies in his ability to grasp the ephemeral, detailed mystery of countless moments, all in the span of ten tracks.
Netlabel Tracker #8: Random Access Recordings
The netlabel tracker continues its endless quest in search of quality netlabels that are active and innovative. I’m concentrating hard to spread the tracker across as many genres as possible and encompasses music with acoustic guitars as much as synthesized beeps and booms. After homing in on a particular label & genre I squeeze every last bit out of my Internet connection amassing the collections of quality and free music that are on offer. So far I’ve happily filled 10Gb of my hard drive with netaudio, no credit card needed to ride this train!
Beem on the squeeze
Electronic music producer & recording artist Fredrik Mjelle A.K.A ‘Beem‘ has released his 3rd album, a 9 tracker entitled ‘Peel’. Beem-tastic Beem is a co-founder of Skweee, a musical style with origins in Nordic countries Sweden and Finland. So what’s the deal with Skweee? Some say it’s a Nordic take on minimal techno, 8-bit hip-hop/dubstep […]
